Byeongsan Seowon
"Byeongsan Seowon was established based on Pungak Seodang, an educational institution of the Pyeongsan Yu clan that existed from the mid-Goryeo period. In the fifth year of the reign of Seonjo , Yu Seong-ryong relocated the Seodang, which was located north of Pungsan County, to its current location. Later, in the fifth year of the reign of Gwanghaegun , it was transformed into a Seowon with the establishment of Jondeoksa after being lost during the Imjin War. It was later given the name 'Byeongsan' in the fourteenth year of the reign of Cheoljong .
Byeongsan Seowon is harmoniously arranged according to the topography of high north and low south, allowing a beautiful view of the Byongsan, a screen-shaped mountain across the Nakdong River. Passing through the outer Sammun gate, the Bokrye gate , and ascending below the Man Dae Ru pavilion , there are libraries to the east and west, and directly in front stands the main hall, Ipkyo Dang . The shrine is placed slightly east behind Ipkyo Dang, positioned highest and facing south within the Seowon. Additional buildings include Gojiksa and Janggyeonggak."
